maconnage.com was founded in 2006 by Robert McDowall MD, a Columbia-trained pediatric anesthesiologist whose career ventured into healthcare information technology. Dr. McDowall's interest in IT and things 'techno' began long before that, and he has worked with large teaching hospitals, healthcare software companies, and multimedia/data consultants whose clients include NASA and the US Electricity Grid (after the blackout).
